Miracles from Heaven (PG)

For any parent, its a nightmare when your child gets hurt and there's nothing you can do to make it better. MFH is the story of a family whose child gets injured but is miraculously healed when the child fails from a tree and hits her head. Its the true story of a family that prayed for healing in their family and God answered their prayer. This is a great family friendly movie that shows you the power of God.

The Young Messiah (PG-13)

This movie depicts the life of Jesus Christ from birth to his death. If you are familiar with his story from the Bible or other movies that have portrayed the life of Jesus Christ, then you know how the story will end. However, what makes this movie unique is it shows the life of Jesus, Mary and Joseph (his parents) combined. The focus is on the messiah's childhood. An angle that hasn't always been the focus of these movies. Watch as a child, soon to be a savior, interacts with those that plan to kill him and those looking for hope

London has Fallen (R)

This is an action packed movie about a terrorist who wants revenge on every major political figure in the world while they are in London. This movie is much better than its predecessor Olympus has Fallen. Gerald Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman are back and hold their positions well. The acting is basic but the explosions and action scenes are great! Parents you may not want to take little kids to see this one, there is a lot of violence in this film.

The Brothers Grimsby (Rated-R)

Two brothers separated as children are reunited after 28 year when Nobby (Sacha Boren Cohen) finds his brother Sebastian (Mark Strong). The only problem is Nobby has horrible timing and tries to reunite with Sebastian while on a MI6 mission. This movie is definitely a comedy with funny moments and plenty of jokes. There's also some action thanks to Sebastian and the tangled tag along brother Nobby.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (R)

is based on the true story of an American journalist who gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a international war correspondent. The only problem is she has no clue whats she's doing. The movie is based on the life of Kim Barker, who wrote a memoir about her time covering the war in Afghanistan. Tina Fey does a surprisingly good job of bringing life to this character beyond being a comedian. There is comedy, drama and romance all tucked into this one film which makes it confusing sometimes as to where the movie is going but overall, its a decent film if you are into memoirs and following the evolution of one person.

10 Cloverfield Lane (PG-13)

A woman makes the last minute decision to leave her husband and while driving, gets into an accident that alters her life in unimaginable ways. After the crash she awakens in a room, chained to a wall. You'll have to watch to see if she makes it out alive. Overall this is a good suspense, drama, thriller film. The beginning of the film focuses on setting and tone so much, for the first three to five minutes of the film, there are no words in the script. Initially, it causes the movie to drag. Then, the pacing becomes an effective tool to pull you into the moment of being kidnapped, right beside the victim.

The movie shifts in the last thirty minutes into what will more than likely lead to a second film. Literally, its like reading one book and beginning another through the first six pages. This is a good film. You will jump, scream and gasps for air.
